Clerk of Works (M&E), Manchester
Package: £29000 to £35000 per annum
Position: Clerk of Works (Building and M&E)
Location: Cheshire / South Manchester
Type: Permanent
Salary: £29,000 - £35,000 + Bespoke Benefits Package
Based out of our client`s offices in Stockport, you will perform the full range of Clerk of Works duties focusing primarily on the Building and Mechanical and Electrical (M&E) works. The majority of this companies work falls within the public sector and Health/NHS sectors such as new build hospitals and NHS Trusts. The duties of the post will follow the typical/traditional roles expected of a professional Clerk of Works, including;
- To be familiar with project contract documents & Health & Safety legislation.
- To carry out on site inspections and keep records
- Oversee the Mechanical and Electrical works (M&E)
- To monitor the progress of building operations and compile reports
- To compile on site records of activities, conditions & resources.
- To report problems and queries to the Architect, to undertake a trouble shooting role including the investigation of defects and the organisation and direction of remedial works.
- To assist the Quantity Surveyor in the recording of measurements.
- To prepare schedule of outstanding work/schedules of defects
- Ensure that the project is completed to client`s standards, specifications and schedule
Suitable candidates have several years experience as a Clerk of Works, will ideally be chartered, have experience of M&E and building works and have worked on hospital projects. An excellent salary and benefits package to suit the candidate will be awarded to the right candidate.
